A practical leathercraft mallet series for punching, carving, die work, and general bench use. This product comes in three options: a Small PP Mallet, a Large PA66 Mallet, and a Large T-Shape PA66 Mallet. The difference mainly comes down to the head material, weight, and the way each one feels in use.

The small PP version is a bit softer and lighter, which makes it a better fit for more delicate tools and everyday striking. The two large PA66 versions are harder and heavier, with a more forward-weighted feel, so they work better for jobs that need a stronger hit, like carving, punching, or clicking dies. Both large PA66 versions use the same material and work in basically the same way — the shape is the main difference, so it mostly comes down to personal preference.

All three are made with a zitan (premium rosewood) handle, along with stainless steel and brass details, giving them a solid, comfortable feel in hand. Since the handle is made from natural wood, each piece will have its own grain pattern.

Options

Small PP Mallet

A lighter and slightly softer option for everyday leathercraft work. The PP head is durable and gentler on tools, which makes it especially useful when working with finer tools such as delicate pricking irons. At around 415g, the weight feels easy to control and practical for regular bench use.

Large PA66 Mallet

Made with a harder PA66 nylon head and a heavier, more forward-weighted balance. Better suited to carving, punching, clicking dies, and other work where a stronger strike helps.

Large T-Shape PA66 Mallet

Made from the same PA66 nylon material as the standard large version, with the same basic function and striking feel. The main difference is the head shape, so this one is really just about which style you prefer in hand.
